• Operating system requirements:
Windows NT, 2000 , XP ,Vista or Windows 7.
•
mIRC version: v6.31 or later.
Installation instructions
Install the script to Thriller under the root directory.
ie. If the drive letter is 'C' then install it on C:\Thriller
Make sure there are no spaces in the directory name to avoid any possible errors, for eg. it shouldn't be installed under C:\Program files\ , as there is space in the directory name (between program and files).
And just copy mirc.exe (v6.31 or higher) to it.
After copying the mirc.exe file, run THRILLER.exe (which is actually a file shortcut) only and not the actual mirc.exe itself. Because the THRILLER.exe file is not just the shortcut to the mirc.exe file but also most importantly it has some loading parameter switches which are used with the file mirc.exe which helps in loading the custom script files and settings associated with the THRILLER script itself.
So always run the script via THRILLER.exe only, not from mirc.exe, else the script will not be able to load its custom settings and script files.
After installing and running the script once do not change/modify the directory name/path to Thriller, else the variable paths saved after the script was initially run will become invalid, causing intermittent script errors.
Other Information
To use your old 1.4/1.4.1 userlist you can simply copy and paste all the userlist entries from the file remote.ini (in the Thriller main directory) under the [users] section to the users.ini file located in the scripts directory of Thriller 1.5 under the same section.
Unable to connect socket
If you get this error while trying to connect from Thriller for the first time to any IRC server, then you need to make a custom exception rule in the Windows firewall to the file mirc.exe located in the Thriller script's directory.
To do this, goto your Windows Security center by clicking its (red shield) icon in the taskbar -> Windows Firewall -> Change settings -> Exceptions -> Add program..
Click on the 'Add program..' button and browse and select the mirc.exe file located inside the Thriller's directory and press ok (make sure in the scope option 'Any computer' is selected).
You can also try uninstalling mirc and reinstallaing mirc (v6.31 or later) and then extracting Thriller to that same directory and then running Thriller using the THRILLER.exe file and then if you get the prompt to unblock mirc from the Windows Firewall, please select the unblock option.

2.
Why is the auto greet on? how do i turn it off?
—
If you did'nt enable the auto greet feature from the
channel popups then its enabled from the new seen
feature addon, to disable that open the seen setup
dialog from the Channel Popups »
Other » Seen and disable it
from there.
3.
Why do the addresses in the ignore/userlist popup
add menu not displayed occasionally?
—
The addresses there are displayed only if the user's
address is in your IAL list (mostly when the user
is in your own channel), if the user is in the same
channel but still the address popups are not displayed
then its because the IAL list of that channel is not
updated (most probably because the users in that channel
are more than the specified IAL users update limit
in the channel section of the general settings, therefore
it was not auto updated), you can manually update
the IAL list from the Channel Popup »
Scan » Update IAL or simply
just perform a whois on that user.

Why can't I use the !seen command myself?
—

to check it from the seen dialog box.
